Cal Maritime Audio-Visual Collection
Audio-Visual materials (except for items on RESERVE) are loaned for 1 day and are due by closing on the day following check-out. Overdue fines are $1.00 per day.

Materials not held by the Cal Maritime Library
Request items not held by the Cal Maritime Library from the Cal Maritime Library’s web site. Due dates of materials borrowed for Cal Maritime Library users from other libraries through Inter-Library Loan (ILL) are set by the lending library. Sometimes these materials may be renewed, however a renewal request must be made at least 5 days before the original due date and may not be granted by the lending library. Because of the highly cooperative contractual nature of the privileges extended through ILL programs, an equally high responsibility for returning materials on time is expected of borrowers who agree to participate in such programs. To encourage compliance with this responsibility, fines on overdue ILL materials are set at $1.00 per day per item.

Fines and Payments
Holds will be placed on student’s academic records until overdue items are returned or fines are paid.

Replacement charge for lost or damaged books = $55.00

Replacement charge for lost or damaged videos = $75.00

At the discretion of the library, the borrower may replaced lost or damaged materials.

*NON-Cal Maritime/NON-CSU library users are required to make a minimum $20.00 non-refundable donation to the Library’s fund with the Cal Maritime Foundation in order to obtain borrowing privileges for 1 year. Such users are not exempt from responsibility for fines on overdue materials or replacement charges for lost materials.

Check with the Library Service Desk if you have questions.  (707/654-1090)
