Circulation Policy
Library materials can be borrowed from the books collection, reserve collection, and audio-visual collection by current students, faculty and staff of Cal Maritime. Materials not held by the Cal Maritime Library can be requested through LINK+ or, if not in LINK+ on this page. Cal
Maritime Book Collection Materials more than 60 days past due will be considered lost and a replacement fee will be charged. All charges go to Accounting at the end of the month and cannot be appealed.

Maritime Reserve Collection Media materials are loaned for 4 hours with no renewals. Media may be used outside the library. The overdue fine for all Reserve materials is $25.00. Renewal of RESERVE materials may be granted at the discretion of library staff. Interlibrary Loan - Materials not owned by the Cal Maritime Library LINK+ Physical items, such as books, DVDs, or CDs, not found at the Cal Maritime Library may be requested through LINK+. (see LINK+ FAQs) All Cal Maritime Patrons, whether students, staff, or faculty, have the same borrowing terms. They are:
LINK+ Book or Media or any other Interlibrary Loan material more than 14 days overdue will be considered lost and charged the Replacement Fee. Payments Replacement charge for all lost materials (books, AV, etc.) = $115.00 minimum. All Cal Maritime students, faculty and staff are responsible for materials needed to be replaced. With prior approval of library staff, a borrower may replace lost or damaged material with an exact copy paid for at their expense. Check with the Library Service Desk if you have questions.
