“Information literacy  forms the basis of lifelong learning. It is common to all disciplines, to all learning environments, and to all levels of education. It enables learners to master   content and extend their investigations, become self-directed, and to assume greater control over their own learning.”

-ACRL, Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education

LIB 100:

Information Fluency in the Digital World

LIB 100 is a 2-credit general elective course that provides students with an introduction to research, information management and computing technology skills. Beginning with the class of 2011, this class will be taken by all Engineering Technology and Global Studies and Maritime Affairs (GSMA) students.
