Information Competence Grants

   

 

Over the past seven years, the Library's Information Fluency Program has received three grants from the California State University Chancellor's office. On this page you will find links to the final reports and documentation related to each of these grants.

 

Grant 1: 2001-2002, "Integrating Information Competency Into Required Courses for the First Year Student," a collaborative effort of Library Director Carl Phillips and Dr. Rene Viargues, Chair of the General Studies Department

 

Grant 2: 2004-2005, "Designing an Information Competency Assessment Program within the Department of Global Studies and Maritime Affairs," a collaborative effort of Dr. Donna Nincic, the Chair of the Department of Global and Maritime Studies; Dr. Bunny Paine-Clemes, Director of Faculty Development; and Lisa Carroll, Information Fluency Librarian

 

Grant 3: 2006-2007, "Using the ICT Literacy Assessment to Evaluate and Enhance Information and Communication Technology Initiatives at the California Maritime Academy," a collaborative effort of Mindy Drake, Information Fluency Librarian; Dr. Julie Chisholm, Communication Literacies Specialist; and Dr. Paul Jackson, Director of Professional Development and Institutional Efficacy
