In honor of Black History Month, selected books on black history and black futures are on display in the Library. Come take a look….

Join the Solano County Library and Cal Maritime Library in a Sunset Paint-Along in the Library Green Room, Tuesday, February 18, 4-6 pm.

The Library has a display of books focused on studying effectively and making college work for you, up through the end of January.

The Cal Maritime Library will be closed Sunday, January 19 and Monday, January 20, 2025 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Regular semester hours resume Tuesday, January 16.

The Cal Maritime Library's hours will vary between winter and spring semesters, so please check our calendar for detailed information!

Dec. 17: 0645-1700
Dec. 18-20: 0900-1630
Dec. 21-Jan. 1: Library closed
Jan. 2-5: 0900-1630, closed weekends
Jan. 6: Regular semester hours begin

The Cal Maritime Library will be open early so you can get what you need before your exams, and has added hours on Saturday, December 14. We will have reduced hours starting December 18, and will be closed December 23, 2024 through  January 1, 2025. Our full hours are:

Mon-Th Dec. 9-12: 0730- 2100
Fri-Sat Dec. 13-14: 0645- 2100
Sun Dec. 15: 1400-2100
Mon Dec. 16: 0645- 2100
Tu Dec. 17: 0645- 1700
Wed-Fri Dec. 18-20: 0900-1630

The Cal Maritime Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday, Nov. 28 through Sunday, Dec. 1, reopening Monday, Dec. 2. We will be open shortened hours Wednesday, Nov. 27, 0900-1300. We wish you safe travels if you're traveling!

Do you like to read for fun or relaxation? The Cal Maritime Library has partnered with our local Solano County Public Library in Vallejo. Our local Public Librarian will come to campus once a month offering an opportunity to get a public library card and check out books.

Mobile Library Dates for Fall 2024

Thursday, November 21, 10 am to 1 pm

Thursday, December 5, 10 am to 1 pm

A public library card will get you access to eBooks, audiobooks, free museum passes, streaming video apps like Kanopy and Hoopla, educational databases like LinkedIn Learning, and more! 

We welcome suggestions for what you like to read, fill out this form and tell us what books you like to read, including authors, series or genres. 

Look for the Mobile Library on the quad or inside the library in case of rain.

The Library will be closed Sun. Nov. 10 and Mon. Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day.

What's ahead: The week of November 25, we'll be open as usual through Tuesday, November 26; open reduced hours 0900-1300 Wednesday, November 27; and closed Thursday, November 28 through Sunday, December 1 for the Thanksgiving holiday. We'll reopen with regular semester hours on Monday, December 2.
