The Cal Maritime Library will be closed Sunday, September 1 and Monday, September 2, 2024, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, September 3.
Is a book display going to change a world where the voices promoting anti-LGBTQI+ legislation, rhetoric, violence and intolerance are loud, and seem to be getting louder every day? Not so likely. Still, we'd like to share some books and films to say that acceptance and love are the future, so let's make them the present. Our Library search tool, OneSearch, recently got a behind-the-scenes upgrade. The underlying program that powers OneSearch, Primo VE, has been updated. Most of what you see when you search won't look any different than what you're used to. You may see more relevant search result rankings and a few other visible improvements here and there. If you have any existing saved book lists or bookmarks to specific titles from before, they should still work. Please let us know if you encounter any changes that you like, or any challenges!
