ET 350 - Electrical Machinery

This guide provides suggestions for information sources and guidance for electrical engineering research.

Welcome to the ET 350 Guide

This guide provides convenient links to databases useful for research on engineering machinery, and information on how to effectively use them. The navigation is on the left.

Top Database: IEEE Xplore

IEEE Xplore provides access to scientific and technical content published by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and its publishing partners. It is aimed at working engineers; most of Cal Maritime's databases are aimed at students and faculty in a university setting. IEEE Xplore offers many features useful specifically for engineering topics, so take your time, look around, and see what's available.

Other Useful Databases

Engineering Village and Science Direct are useful for engineering topics. Engineering Village is a bibliographic database, which means you may not have access to the full text of listed articles. ScienceDirect provides full text.

OneSearch

  • Find research materials (articles, books, e-books, reports, DVDs, and more) at Cal Maritime.
  • Use the limiters on the left to focus your search by format such as books or peer-reviewed articles, date, and more!
  • Request delivery of items from other libraries via CSU+.
