In honor of Black History Month, selected books on black history and black futures are on display in the Library. Come take a look….

LGBTQI+ Pride Month celebrates the variety, value and splendor of LGBTQI+ experiences. It is needed especially now, as rising threats face LGBTQI+ people including discriminatory laws, the normalization of intolerance and anti-LGBTQI+ rhetoric, and even attacks on Pride events themselves. Celebrate, and advocate: visit the Human Rights Campaign for more resources and opportunities for action.

Share your perspective! The Library is currently recruiting a variety of students from across the Cal Maritime community for the Library Student Advisory Council (LSAC). The Council was first formed in Fall 2019, and we're restarting it now that we're all back on campus again.
Share your perspective! The Library is currently recruiting a variety of students from across the Cal Maritime community for the Library Student Advisory Council (LSAC). The Council was first formed in Fall 2019, and we're restarting it now that we're all back on campus again.
Students on the Council would provide input to the Library on policies and services that affect students, offer student perspectives on Library issues, and gather input from other Cal Maritime students. LSAC will meet 4-6 times during the course of the 2021-22 academic year, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone's schedules for meeting times. Meetings will take place roughly once a month for an hour at a time.
This year we’d like to focus on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. How can we make the Library a welcoming place for everyone in the Cal Maritime community?
