This group of emergency management resources is focused on California. Many are provided by the State of California.
- California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES)
The Cal OES website provides information on emergency preparation, grants, COVID-19, cybersecurity, hazards, and the Listos California emergency alerts. - Cal OES Exercise Program"CSTI’s Exercise Division leads a statewide all-hazards Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) to assist California in preventing, protecting, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from man-made and natural disasters."
- California Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness Office - EPO"The Emergency Preparedness Office (EPO) coordinates overall emergency planning and preparedness efforts for the California Department of Public Health."
- California Department of Public Health EPO Statewide Medical and Health Exercise (SWMHE)"The SWMHE Program consists of objective driven exercise templates and generic exercise templates to assist jurisdictions, organizations and facilities participate in the yearly exercise. The program utilizes the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) and aligns with Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) and Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) grant requirements."

Emergency Management: Additional Resources
These emergency management resources aren't specific to the state of California, or provided by the U.S. federal government.
- EM-DAT - The International Disaster DatabaseEM-DAT contains data on the occurrence and impacts of over 26,000 mass disasters worldwide from 1900 to the present day. The database is compiled from sources including UN agencies, NGOs, reinsurance companies, research institutes, and press agencies. The Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) distributes the data in open access for non-commercial use.
- Mass Public Shootings in the United States, 1966–presentA database maintained by The Violence Prevention Project Research Center of Hamline University. Searchable, with interactive graphics and full data available for download.
